Azilah & Sirul: so calm when sentenced to death!

& OH MY GOD ………

It’s MAHATHIR’S CABINET!KES BUNUH ALTANTUYA

It beats logic but it is true. Reliable sources say that the two murder accused of Altantuya Shariibuu was very calm today when they were sentenced to death in the Shah Alam court house.

They were police special force action unit personnel. They take orders from ’someone up there’.

This morning Azilah [Hadri] came in first to court and was very calm, seen cheerful and smiling, looked fine. Sirul came in much later, and many thought he had broke down, but this is not to be so. He also came in looking calm.

[Perhaps, I watched too many movies. But people either faint or shriek or show some kind of emotion when sentenced to death].

Even when the sentenced was read by the judge. The emotions were calm. After it was read, the two convicts left the dock and hug their lawyers.

———————————————————————————————-

It’s Mahathir’s Cabinet !

If this news is true, the new PM Najib Tun Razak has no balls. And Mahathir Mohammad, dictator and ex-PM is holding his balls and screwing it tightly.

The new cabinet, not so lean, as his propagandists are saying, has Mahathir’s baby, Mukriz Mahathir as a deputy minister. What a reap of.

Despite the world asking Najib not to be Mahathir’s puppet, he goes and does exactly what people think he would do. Are we ever wrong when it comes to Najib?

I guess he is happy as long as keeps the Finance Minister’s post.

Abdullah Ahamd Badawi’s baby’s hubby Khairy Jamaluddin was booted out right away. No posts for him.

I neither want KJ nor Mukriz in the cabinet. I never expected much from this idiotic cabinet anyway.

Why did Altantuya have to die? — The Malaysian Insider

najib-razak-altantuya4402

The Malaysian Insider

APRIL 9 — Why. That is the start of many questions that have yet to be answered in the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder trial.

The Shah Alam High Court today convicted two policemen for her October 2006 death. We now know the who, when, what, where and how of the entire murder. Inspector Azilah Hadri and Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar have a right to appeal the sentence which carries the mandatory death penalty.

The trial has ended but we still don’t know the whys.

Why did the prosecution or defence not call the police aide to Datuk Seri Najib Razak who recommended the policemen to political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda?

That was the tenuous link the opposition have picked on to link the prime minister to the killing. There have been wild allegations that have even appeared in newspapers across the world, including statutory declarations and cautioned statements, that have haunted Najib since the beginning of the sensational case.

Why did Altantuya hound Abdul Razak? That she even risked coming to this country to meet him but to no avail.

Why didn’t he just lodge a report for harassment? But went and asked a favour from a friend in the police force.

Why did the policemen commit the crime? She was an interpreter in a country far from home and surely no threat to anyone but she died a horrible death. Why?

Why did Abdul Razak’s private investigator P. Balasubramaniam disappear after filing two statutory declarations that contradict each other? And why is he still missing?

All we know is that she is dead and two people have been convicted of her murder.

We also know the trial has broken records such as being the most number of days for hearing at 159 and the most number of witnesses at 84 during the prosecution case and just two during the defence stage.

And according to police records, Azilah has been detained in prison for 891 days and Sirul, for 895 days.

But in none of those days or from among the witnesses and the accused have any of these questions been asked and answered.

And that is really what it is about, why did Altantuya have to die?

Khairy brushes off snub, to focus on winning youth support

Posted in Uncategorized by malaysiasms on April 9, 2009

The Malaysian Insider

By Lee Wei Lian

KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 – Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin brushed off an apparent snub by the prime minister when he was not appointed to the new cabinet and said that he will focus on winning back youth support to the Barisan Nasional.

Khairy told The Malaysian Insider that he met with the prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday and was tasked with a full time responsibility to focus on party work – namely coming up with strategies to reclaim support that was lost among young voters. “We agreed that the responsibility to win back support among young voters is a full time committment,” he said. “I want to congratulate Najib on announcing a strong line-up.”

It is conventional practice for the Umno Youth chief, as head of an important party wing, to be given a post in the cabinet. Khairy’s predecessor, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, was the education minister in the previous cabinet. Khairy’s deputy, Razali Ibrahim was made deputy minister as was his rival in the contest for youth chief Mukhriz Mahathir.

“It is a recognition of Umno Youth that my deputy Razali was made deputy minister,” said Khairy. It is widely perceived that Khairy was not included in the cabinet due to pressure from Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. The fierce critic of the former prime minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Abdullah Badawi wrote on his blog that he would consider his conditions to rejoin Umno not met if there was evidence that Abdullah retained any influence in Umno – which appears to be a warning to Najib not to appoint Khairy.

Dr Mahathir has denied that he had negotiated with Najib to have his son, Mukhriz, appointed to the cabinet. It is unclear at this point if the snub will cause a split within the Umno Youth ranks. But at least one senior Umno youth member has defended Najib’s decision saying that it was important for Najib to be seen to be making a big change by not including Khairy, who is seen by many to be too controversial.

“People want change, so Najib made a big decision and this is part of the change,” he said. “Moreover, Razali is there to represent the Youth wing.”

Death for Azilah/Sirul – intensify demand for RCI into allegations of Najib’s involvement in Altantuya C4 murder case

Posted in Uncategorized by malaysiasms on April 9, 2009

The end of the murder trial of the century in the Shah Alam High Court this morning, with policemen Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri and Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar found guilty and sentenced to death for murdering Mongolian woman Altantuya Shaariibuu, and then blowing up her body in a jungle clearing on Oct 19, 2006, is not going to end public fixation with any Altantuya-Najib nexus in national and international circles.

The question that is inevitably asked is who could be behind the two Bukit Aman Special Action Squad (UTK) cops’ C4 murder of Altantuya.

Those who had thought that the end of the Altantuya murder trial, with the conviction and death sentence pronounced on Azila and Sirul, would end national and international fixation with any connection of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak with the Altantuya murder case cannot be more wrong.

While Azilah and Sirul would appeal against the mandatory death sentence upon conviction under Section 149 of the Penal Code, their conviction and death sentence have not lessened but intensified public demands and necessity for a Royal Commission of Inquiry into swirling allegations of Najib’s involvement in the Altantuya’s C4 murder case. The Great Malaysian Cover-Up…

Posted in Uncategorized by malaysiasms on April 9, 2009

Malaysia Today

..is almost complete.

Look at this picture. (borrowed without permission from The Star)

siruok

The High Court today sentenced the two Special Ops cops from Unit Tindakan Khas (UTK) to hang for the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shariibuu,The Star reports.

Does it surprise you? No? Same here. But this is a case that has shaken the nation. Even as the two cops are sentenced, there are many burning questions that remain unanswered.

Firstly, motive.

Azilah who started his testimony on Jan 15 stated that he had no motive to kill or destroy the woman and instead he only met Altantuya to advise her politely not to harass Abdul Razak or create a ruckus outside the latter’s home.

Azilah also told the court that he was ordered by a superior, DSP Musa Safri to help Abdul Razak and thus he would not have done something stupid like killing and what more when he was a policeman.

While defending himself Sirul Azhar broke down a few times and related to the court that he has been made the ’sacrificial lamb’ in the murder. – The Star.

Certainly not a crime of passion. Because Altantuya’s entry records and the two cops’ travel records would help to preclude that they even knew the victim. Entry records erased, you say? Oops…but that’s another story.

I reiterate, why is the most obvious question not answered? Motive?

So, the prosecution used both the guys testimony to tie a noose long enough to hang them both. But what was the motive? This is not serial killing.

Two Policemen Get Death Sentence in Malaysia Murder Trial

Posted in Uncategorized by malaysiasms on April 9, 2009

MALAYSIA/SHAH ALAM — A Malaysian court sentenced two policemen to death Thursday on charges of murdering a Mongolian woman who was blown up with explosives after her yearlong affair with the prime minister’s friend ended in a messy disagreement.

The verdict closes another chapter in a case that has riveted the nation, become fodder for the opposition’s election campaigns and spawned intense public speculation about political conspiracies and sex scandals in high places.

Wrapping up a 159-day trial, High Court Judge Zaki Yasin ruled that he found the defense of Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri and Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar “unbelievable” as “each of them are blaming the other.”

He said he was convicting “both of you as charged” with murdering 28-year-old Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu sometime between Oct. 19 and Oct. 20, 2006.

“They failed to raise any reasonable doubt in the prosecution’s case,” said Zaki.

The defendants looked emotionless as the verdict was being read. Defense lawyers said they would appeal.

Last year, Zaki acquitted Abdul Razak Bangida, a close associate of Prime Minister Najib Razak, of charges of abetting the murder. Zaki ruled that the prosecution had failed to establish a case against Abdul Razak, a well-known defense analyst who moved to Britain after his acquittal.

In his defense, Abdul Razak had admitted to having an affair with Shaariibuu, beginning in late 2004.

He portrayed Shaariibuu as a manipulative gold-digger, saying he gave her $10,000 after hearing “sob stories” about her financial situation, but later found them to be untrue and ended the affair in 2005.

According to Abdul Razak, Shaariibuu kept pestering him for money and threatened to go public with their affair, prompting him to seek help from a private investigator and later from the two policemen, who work for an elite unit assigned to VIP security.

The two policemen are alleged to have picked up Shaariibuu from outside Abdul Razak’s house on the evening of Oct. 19, 2006. They are alleged to have taken her to a jungle clearing in central Selangor state, shot her to death and blown up her body with military explosives.

Although Abdul Razak has been acquitted, the prosecution has not said what motive the two policemen could have for killing her.

Tribute to Wan Azizah, ‘rock of PKR’
From Malysiakini:

anwar-court-249It has been quite a while since Anwar Ibrahim has publicly praised his wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, for being the ‘rock’ of PKR. He did so today.

Anwar revealed that it was his wife who has held the party together by taking a deep interest in its affairs, updating herself on political developments and showing genuine concern for the welfare of members.

“Although I may be the one formulating policies, Azizah is the one working tirelessly behind the scenes. She has worked harder than me at times,” Anwar told a press conference at PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya.

The opposition leader was replying to a question as to when he would officially take over as PKR president from his wife, who has often been described as a “reluctant politician”.

Although he did not give a definite answer, his reply indicated that PKR is doing just fine with Azizah as PKR president and himself as the undisputed leader of Pakatan Rakyat.

Anwar said his wife had proven herself as an active campaigner in the just-concluded Bukit Gantang and Bukit Selambau by-elections.

“She was campaigning throughout the two constituencies. She worked very hard in mobilising support for Pakatan candidates,” he said proudly, adding in jest “and you know, Azizah has certain capabilities which I don’t have”.

‘Let’s hope Dr M isn’t too desperate’

Posted in Uncategorized by malaysiasms on April 9, 2009

Mahathir may wish to be in the limelight again but he has to face the reality. It is a different world and he just has to accept the fact that he is no longer up there.’

On Mahathir wants to be ‘unofficial adviser’ to gov’t

Sayu Sayme: Mahathir has been away for a while. Pak Lah and the son-in-law have had their influence. And Najib would have his own group of people by now.

Mahathir may wish to be in the limelight again but he has to face the reality. It is a different world and he just has to accept the fact that he is no longer up there.

Whatever Mahathir may wish to achieve, whether for himself or his loved ones, let’s hope he is not too desperate.

Stop doing things like tagging the Chinese as racist. It will have negative effects and it also make him lose the people’s respect for him.

Stephen Doss: What I would like to make clear is that Mahathir has become a liability to Umno and BN.

I now once again plead with Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to be wary of carrying baggage that will increasingly become heavier.

This would be the case if he were to continue to seek advise or allow direct or indirect interference from someone who is clearly a liability.

Just a few days ago, BN was confident of taking both Bukit Selambau and Bukit Gantang. What happened after this confident start?

It made the mistake of allowing Mahathir to visit and campaign in these two constituencies.

Why did the BN win handsomely in Batang Ai?

I cannot be sure except to say thank God, Mahathir did not campaign at Batang Ai. (The writer is president Persatuan Pemuda Negara Malaysia)

Ben Ong:
My advice to our new PM is to stay away from this so-called ‘potential advisor’. A new Malaysia needs new ideas and decisions.

To me Malaysia’s politics is always about power and corruption so please change it to responsibilities and quality services.

Respect stays with rakyat and money stays in the bank. Also, criticism is progress, complacency is doom and arrogance is downfall.

Jeffrey: Even a wayang kulit show has an ending. Now everyone knows that Najib is just a puppet. How can you be a prime minister if the former PM is the advisor?

Mahathir is like Samy Vellu now. Is this the culture we want for the younger generation? A prime minister that has no power to navigate this country?

He will always be spoon fed by this so-called advisor who only has few more years left to be our Bapa Kemodenan.

We just hope this wayang kulit will end soon.

KSN: What happened to the pop star appeal Muhyuddin was talking about? Of course, I am referring toTDM’s campaigning for Umno and BN.

If this man has no clue that he is not wanted anywhere anymore, then what are Najib and Muhyuddin talking about?

Keep him away if Najib knows what is good for him. But how is that possible when they must grateful for his contribution in sending Abdullah packing?

And this man has the audacity to publicly say that he wants to be the unofficial advisor to the PM.

Considering all that is in the public domain, Najib has more than enough of problems he can cope with. To add this ‘has been’ even unofficially to the government is simply disaster.

Judgment day for Altantuya murder

Posted in Uncategorized by malaysiasms on April 9, 2009

The Malaysian Insider

altantuya-and-sonSHAH ALAM, April 9 — The High Court will today announce its judgment on two elite policemen accused of killing Altantuya Shaariibuu, which the opposition has tried to link to the country’s prime minister.

Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri and Corporal Sirul Azhar Omar can either face hanging or walk free in the sensational murder trial that involved Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s friend, political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda.

Razak was acquitted last year but the two policemen, who are part of a VIP security detail, had their defence called.

Police say Altantuya was shot and blown up on Oct 19, 2006 after she was last seen outside Razak’s house in the leafy Damansara suburb.

They have only found some bones identified as hers from a scorched area near Bukit Raja in Shah Alam.
